Propping up the Punchy

Ever watch an old boxer try to make a comeback? Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Sugar Ray
Leonard, Marvelous Marvin Haggler, Michael Spinks you name it sure they might
have done it for the money but they lost a lot of credibility with it.

Barack Obama is just that a tired old community organizer
and one who’s corner won’t stop the fight either. The numbers really don’t mean much on the
surface because they are engineered to portray a false dynamic.

If the ‘guilty’ white voter of 2008 and 2010 is part of the
current polls suggesting that this president enjoys a 50% approval rating it is
the equivalent of a standing eight count.
Even black voters are becoming more reserved in their unconditional support. The percentage of voters who truthfully
answer a poll depends in large part on how the opinion will be publically
received.

In the ‘black community’ stereotypical hatred is applied to
those who don’t fall in line behind a victim based mentality. Amongst ‘white’ voters who are determined to
prove that race has no effect on how they cast their vote it’s the same thing
avoiding conflict. Look back at the
polls prior to the race in 2010; it’s almost a mirror image of the RCP averages
we see today.

Nothing has changed voters are not going to blame House
Republicans for trying to assert a public mandate that has only gotten stronger
because this administration has ignored it.
Senate Democrats are the ones shaking in their shoes as a result. If this president would have been able to
move to the center as some thought he might his re-election was almost certain.

This president has instead doubled down on the policies of
the extremist in his party leaving himself without a chance of winning a
majority of independent voters. Dealing
his fellow Democrats in the Senate a death blow at their chances of survival
they may all be swept out of office as a result.

President Obama is like the drug addicted star no one ever
said “no” to in a political sense. He is
so insulated from the reality of his impending defeat he may not believe it
when it comes to pass. Such was the
story of Al Gore whose denial of fate goes on to this very day. Barack doesn’t have the agility or the
stamina to fend off the weakest of our candidate much less the backing to outlast
the surrogates of the grass roots.

In the end his presidency will be remembered only for the
historical events of 2008 as a side note to his historic demise in November
2012. Beyond that his party will seek to
forget that he ever existed and lament their allegiance to their internal
demise.
